Guidelines:

• Beat to a Pulp is published online with one new story a week.
• Our primary focus is hardboiled but we also accept action/adventure, westerns, sci-fi/fantasy, horror/thriller, etc. No yarns with bigotry or overt political agendas.
• No more than 4,000 words. Anything longer, please query first.
• New material only. One story at a time. No simultaneous submissions.
• Edit your work carefully. We will let you know if something's not working.
• Please submit stories in a Word doc or as an rtf file, single spaced text, between paragraphs double spaced. The title page should contain your name, email address, word count and date submitted. Number your pages.
• Include a brief bio. After your story has been accepted, you will have the option to send a photo.
• We do take excerpts from upcoming novels.
• You retain all rights to your work. We will archive your story on Beat to a Pulp. If at any time you want it removed, please contact us.
• Sorry, we can’t pay for stories at this time.
