BEAT to a PULP is published online with one new story a week.

Our primary focus is hardboiled but we also accept action/adventure, westerns, sci-fi/fantasy, horror/thriller, etc. No yarns with bigotry or overt political agendas.

No more than 4,000 words. Anything longer, please query first.

New material only. One story at a time. No simultaneous submissions.

Edit your work carefully. We will let you know if something's not working.

Please submit stories in a Word doc or as an rtf file. The title page should contain your name, email address, word count and date submitted.

Include a brief bio. After your story has been accepted, you will have the option to send a photo.

We do take excerpts from upcoming novels. Query first.

You retain all rights to your work. We will archive your story on BEAT to a PULP. If at any time you want it removed, please contact us.
